Two Ingredient BBQ Pork Ribs
As Barry and I have been cutting expenses lately, we have been doing a lot of dining out—at home. This morning as I opened the freezer to see what I might whip up for dinner, I came across a package of pork ribs.
Hmm, how can I cook this as economically as possible? Well, within minutes I had an answer. By checking out my pantry cupboard I was able to come back with the only other ingredient I was going to need. You see, a few months ago I had managed to pick up some bottles of BBQ sauce for $0.50. Can’t get much more simple or inexpensive than that.
So, I pulled the crock pot out of the cupboard. I laid the frozen pork ribs in the bottom. Lastly, I dumped the entire contents of the BBQ bottle all over the ribs. I made sure to completely cover them with the delicious sauce.
Cover the crock pot and set the dial on low. Yes, for best results, cook these low and slow.
Now, all I had to do was turn the pork ribs over and over in the BBQ sauce every couple of hours. Cover again until time to turn them over in their sticky bath.
This low and slow cooking approach, mixed with rolling the ribs over and over in the sauce, allows the flavor to deeply set in.
All you need to do is be careful as you remove your Two Ingredient BBQ Pork Ribs from the crock pot. These will be so juicy tender and possibly fall off of the bone delightful.
Yes, I don’t mind that the bones were falling off before serving. I really don’t like sticky finger foods. 😉
