Simpler Than Most Sugar Cookies
If you enjoy sugar cookies but you aren’t so keen on all the rolling and cookie cutter procedures, then this recipe will become your new favorite.
You simply use a technique of:
- using a Tablespoon scoop with a release valve, make small cookie dough balls,
- flattening cookie dough balls with a drinking glass from the cupboard,
- a sprinkle of candy decorations,
- and a few minutes baking in the oven.
And to make it really easy, mix the dough one night after dinner, cover with plastic wrap, and place in the refrigerator. Just as with other sugar cookie recipes, you have to allow it to sit in the refrigerator for several hours anyways. Then the following evening—bake.
So mix up the dough one day, and bake the cookies the next.
Baking on the second day also allows you the opportunity to clean up the mixing mess you made. Then you have a clean working center to work on the cookies and for cooling.
