Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, crack the eggs. With a wire whisk, whip the eggs until well blended.
  2. Add the garlic powder and whisk it in.
  3. Add the diced onion and thinly sliced wieners to the whipped egg. Again, whisk it all together.
  4. Heat a 10 inch non stick frying pan and melt the ΒΌ cup unsalted butter over medium high heat.
  5. Once the butter is melted, add the egg mixture to the frying pan. Cover with a lid and cook on medium high heat for about 5 minutes.
  6. Lift the lid and if the omelet is setting well, turn the heat down to about medium. Replace the lid and continue to cook for about another 5 minutes. Cook until the egg mixture has risen and puffed up in height and the top is cooked and firmly set.
  7. Just before serving, sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese on the top. Fold the omelet in half. Let it set for about 1 minute to allow the cheese to melt.
  8. Cut in half and serve up on plates with a light salad or other side dish of your choice.
