In about 1935, partway through the time of economic depression, a cookie company tried something new. Something that was going to put a smile on the faces of children then. A smile that is still seen on children’s faces of today.
How did this cookie come to be?

Although the original Chocolate Chip Cookie originated in the United States, their Canadian cousins to the north love them too.
So enjoy this simplified version. Instead of being individual drop cookies this is baked in a cake pan. Allowing you to cut them into moist bar cookies instead. A different twist on a beloved cookie no matter which side of the border you live on.
For over 80 years, the Chocolate Chip Cookie has been enjoyed. Will it still be around for another 80 years? I believe so.
