Breakfast Granola Blend
A homemade granola makes a nice change for either a quick snack for lunch or an energy boost while on the run. It also works great for breakfast too. And if life for you and your family is as hectic as mine, you need “quick to grab”.
Once prepared and cooled, keep the Breakfast Granola Blend in an airtight container with a lid. Store in the refrigerator and it will keep indefinitely.
For a quick snack, make sure to put a ¼ cup of the granola mix in a zippered snack bag. Stick it in your purse or lunch bag and you will always have it on hand.
As a breakfast, you can easily pour some in a bowl. Add some milk, cream or stir it up with some Greek Yogurt for a nutritious way to start your day.
Made In A Crock Pot?
Now, this is a crock pot recipe that you need to be staying at home while you do this. That is because, normally you would not place any fabric over the top of the crock pot. As a result, please stay close by in case you need to take any drastic measures. However, if you do not hang the towels well over the edge of the top, there should be no real issue of concern.
The reason for using the double layer of tea towels over the top of the slow cooker liner is to simple absorb the moisture that normally would accumulate on the lid of the crock pot. As you will be desiring to have dry granola and not soggy, the tea towels are necessary.
Now, as granola is also a personal taste preference as well as nutritious, don’t be afraid to change it up.
Perhaps you don’t like coconut. Omit it then. Or, you are allergic to peanuts, but you love almonds. Switch it up.
